Matreshka's Soul
Biological reincarnation of boredom is art without meaning. Leaving the prosperity of senses to generations to come, we are trapped in visual references on today. Matreshka -- Russian doll that opens up into scaled up version of itself became an obsolete symbol of late Soviet Union “russian-ness” -- of course since it lacks spiritul equivalents of Russian melancholy it was neutered by pop culture. This painting is a version of what’s the doll’s soul looks like.
